This is for my Sarah Beth. An account of her daily adventures and discoveries.

Sarah likes to eat bread with butter (or margarine).  This is how it usually goes, "Mom, I want bread and butter."  After making her say, "Please", I take out one piece of bread, generously spread the margarine on and really schmush it in and then cut the crust off.  The reason I have to really schmush it in is because she licks the margarine off the bread.  So, unless it's schmushed in good then she'll lick all the margarine off the bread and leave the bread.  Yes, I realize how gross this sounds.  If we're at a restaurant that offers a bread basket, with those little tubs of butter and margarine, she gets this look in her eyes, that I imagine a crack addict gets when they see some crack, and she immediately reaches/lunges, begs and cajoles for those little tubs.  I'll admit it, I've given them to her when I've wanted a peaceful and quiet meal.  The way I see it, she is in the 5th percentile for weight in her age group (that means 95% of kids her age weigh more than her), so a little fat isn't going to hurt her.  I do hope she outgrows it because I can't imagine what her dates will think when they go out for a dinner date.
