This is for my Sarah Beth. An account of her daily adventures and discoveries.
Desert Botanical Garden
Sarah and I went to the Gardens yesterday. A lovely day in the fresh air with the cool wind blowing in our hair and the warm sun kissing our cheeks. The Gardens had their Monarach Butterfly exhibit up. That's always an adventure for Sarah. We had lunch on the patio, she had her peanut butter and jelly sandwich and I had the tuna. Then we walked out favorite trails. She likes the Herb Garden because sometimes they have tons of ladybugs there. We also climbed the Sonoran Trail. It goes up the mountain and you can see parts of the city. Sarah likes it because they have telescopes and she thinks you can see our house from there. Our final walk was through the Sonoran Plants and People Trail. They have little stations and demos of the types of houses and tools the Native Americans use to use. Sarah loves taking the mesquite beans and pounding them with the mortar and pestle. In all, we were there for about 3 hours and it was relaxing, fun and just one of those days you file away in the memory banks.
