I think I mentioned the sale at Dillard's before. There was a dress that Sarah begged me to buy her. It was cute but not something I would have picked out for her. I was tired, grumpy and easily swayed. I bought the dress. It's a sheer yellow fabric with pink polka dots over a simple slip. Little cap sleeves and a ribbon and bow high up around the waist. It looks like a dress from the late 20's or 30's. We had a playdate for the park the next day and Sarah insisted on wearing it. I tried to explain to her it would probably get ruined, but she didn't care. It looked so cute on her. She looked like such a grown-up little girl. The way she be-bopped around in it just made me think of the word flouncy. Is that a word? I told her she was wearing a flouncy dress. She replied, "Don't call me Flouncy."
