The weather is getting hotter, so we've slowly been adding pieces from Sarah's summer collection to her wardrobe.  The other day I found a cute denim skort that she received as a gift for her 1ft birthday, (it's a size 18-24 months), it was too big last summer so I saved it for this year.  You would think that a little girl going on to the age of 3 would fit into a size 18-24 month skort.  In Sarah's case that answer would be a, "No."  It slipped right off of her hips and that seems to be the case with all of her shorts that I had to save from last summer.  So, that's why Daddy started singing, "If she only had some hips..."  Luckily, I am such a shopoholic when it comes to Sarah that she has plenty of really cute summer dresses.  She's going to be wearing alot of dresses this summer.

We're in major redecorating mode right now.  Sarah and I have been to the Great Indoors at least 5 times this week.  She loves going there because they have shower stall displays and she gets a kick out of going into each and every one of them and she pretends to take a shower.  Can you imagine if she started pretending using the toliets?

Speaking of pretend and toliets.  Garrett's painting the guest bathroom upstairs, so all the stufff that was in there is now in the hallway.  One of those items is Sarah's training potty.  Now, she is adamant about not trying to use it.  She gets very upset when the subject is brought up, so we've backed off, but she does enjoy pretending she's using it (fully clothed).  So, today she was upstairs watching Daddy prepping the walls for paint and she starts playing by herself.  I'm sorting laundry in the bedroom, so I can see her, but she's not paying any attention to me.  I hear her pretending that she's getting ready for work.  I look over and she's sitting on the potty and she gets up and pretends to flush then walks away, she comes back to the toliet, pauses and faces in front of it.  She "assumes" the position and pretends to pee standing up.  It took everything in me not to laugh out loud.  Now, I frequently comment to Garrett that Sarah is just a clone of him, but this took the cake.  I guess every little girl tries it at some point, but when you see it, it just cracks you up.
