Sarah just came up to me and asked me where her sword was (she's watching Mulan). I told her she didn't have a sword. She made me get up and follow her to the closet, she opened the door, and told me to pick her up. She looked at the top shelf and there in the back she claimed was her sword. She reached out and grabbed her plastic toy screwdriver (that Garrett took away from her because she kept poking us). So, Mulan has her sword back, but unfortunately she doesn't have her fan because, Sarah managed to break it and I haven't been able to fix it.
We have visitors right now. My cousins from Indiana Evelia and Becky. They're school teachers and in their professional opinion Sarah is very advanced verbally and socially. They think she is hilarious and quite a little toot.
Easter Sunday was a nice day. I took Sarah to church. She wasn't as bad as I thought she would be. She did have a snack break in the middle of services (she found a little cheese & cracker package in my purse) but you know, hey, she's almost 3. You can't expect a 3 year old to be perfect. Plus, it was kind of cute watching her spread the cheese carefully over the little cracker and munch, munch, munch away on it. She would do this little swaying dance number while she prepared the cracker and then while she was eating it she would bob up and down. She loved the bell choir and the singing. We went home and then we all jumped in the car and gave a tour of Phoenix to our cousins. When we got back home we found our neighbors, Jim, Jaime, Jenny and their families doing an Easter Egg hunt. They were finishing up and invited Sarah to join in the last 5 minutes. She managed to find 5 eggs! She had a blast! We finished the night with a wonderful lamb dinner. Garrett sure does know how to make the yummiest sauces.
