Well, I did something really stupid today. Sarah and I were leaving the gym and I had her climb into her seat while I was putting something in the trunk and I forgot to buckle her in! Yikes!!!!! I'm driving along and out of the corner of my eye I see two little hands, one on each seat , and her little head poking between the seats. She was smiling with a big ole' grin on her face and says, "Mom, can I ask you a question?" I just about ran into the curb. I very, quickly and somewhat calmly pulled over and buckled her in. She was very upset about being buckled in. I explained that if I didn't buckle her in and a car bumped us then she would go flying out the window and then have to go to the hospital. She quieted down, thought about it and said, "Ok, I don't want to go see Dr. Ladha again." She won't soon forget the memory of getting stitches. LOL!
She just asked me for glass slippers. That is one thing she doesn't have in her wardrobe. I found a pair of dress-up slippers I bought at the dollar store. She seems satisfied with them. Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are her two favorite stories right now. I had to find her magic wand this morning. She has one but it was upstairs and I didn't feel like digging it out, so I pulled an old chopstick out of the kitchen drawer and that fulfilled the need for a magic wand nicely.
She just informed me that after I am done with my "game" (this blog) we can play an Elmo game. So, I'll finish up this game and get on to bigger and better things. Elmo here we come!
