This is for my Sarah Beth. An account of her daily adventures and discoveries.

Sarah had her 3 year old physical exam this morning.  It went as well as I expected.  There were a few laughs, a few tears and lots of panicked looks.  Garrett and Sarah practiced what would happen during the exam and he explained what the doctor would do.  She played along with him and said she was, "Ok, and she would be a good girl because she wanted a lollipop."  We got into the exam room and she did her imitation of a cat about to have a bath when the doctor walked in.  We calmed her down and, managed to get through the exam, more or less unscathed.  The doc pronounced a fit as a fiddle and then he stood up and said, "Ok, what's next", (he said this more to himself),  Sarah piped up and shouted, "A lollipop is next!".  We all laughed and, in walked the nurse with a lollipop, and 2 shots.  Sarah didn't see the shots, her eyes were trained on the lollipop.  Her defenses were down, she laid her head gently into Garrett's shoulder and had a big ole' smile on her face when. BAM!!!!  The nurse hit her with a one, two punch.  A TB test and a vaccination.  The lollipop came flying out of the mouth and the tears were as big a rain drops and the screaming was Oscar caliber.  The tears were wiped away, soothing strokes were applied to the head and the much loved lollipop was recovered and we all went home.  ***I forgot to add that Sarah weighs 26 lbs and she's 35 inches tall.***
