This is for my Sarah Beth. An account of her daily adventures and discoveries.

It's been awhile but Sarah and I are back home.  We went to visit Noni and Pops in Orlando.  We arrived the day before Katrina hit Florida and we were there the first few days after it hit New Orleans.  Our experience last year with Hurricane Charley was nothing like what those poor souls in New Orleans are dealing with.  It'll take me a few days before I can get back into blogmode but I'll get there.  Sarah started preschool yesterday.   I'm glad Moose and Beth D. were here visiting because I was in a daze after I dropped her off.  My baby girl is growing up and it's amazing how lost and lonely I feel without her for just a few hours a day.  The house is eerrily quiet and although I have a ton of stuff to do I can't quite get my act together.  Sarah's teacher said Sarah did very well for her first day.  She played well, made friends, she got excited about lunch, bean burritos and milk, she didn't get the green beans and pineapples.  She missed me at naptime and cried a little.  God, just writing that puts this pressure on my chest and makes me teary eyed.  Ok, ok...I'm going to go take a hike and then drop off donations to the shelter downtown for the evacuees.  I'm probably going to sign up as a volunteer too since I now have "free" time.  More later.
