Sarah has been doing a lot of pretending lately. Often times she won't answer to her own name. She'll say, "I'm Stephanie." a character from a tv show, or "I'm Kim Possible right now Mom." Kim Possible is a cartoon character that works for an FBI-like agency. So, Sarah runs around the house doing karate moves and a lot of jumping around and stuff. She also likes pretending she is Dora the Explorer. The other day she and Cole were pirates. I love that she's so imaginative but sometimes she can be sooooo dramatic. She was so upset last night that I had to take her up to her room to cool off. Garrett and I couldn't figure out what was wrong and she just wasn't making any sense but she was certainly having an Oscar winning crying performance. We eventually talked her into having a bath. She calmed down and had a fun tub, as she likes to call it.
We went to the zoo yesterday afternoon with Cole and Stephanie. A typical visit. Nothing out of the ordinary. I am still amazed that Sarah always manages to make friends with someone while we're out. Cole and Stepanie had to leave early, but Sarah wanted to stay to play in the big treehouse they have at the zoo. I said,"Ok" and we headed over. It was filled with kids that were on a field trip. Sarah was one of the younger ones there. She likes to go in and play by herself but I was a little worried with all those big kids there. I saw that a teacher was inside and that she was making sure the school kids were behaving so I stayed just outside. A few minutes went by and I saw two school girls holding Sarah's hands and leading her down the ramp. I ran over and asked if she was ok and they smiled and said she was fine but they wanted to help her down because it was slippery. Then they helped Sarah go through the tunnels and back into the house. It was so cute.
